In Endoskeleton, Beck and Calvo’s entire bodies are wrapped
in packing tape with the sticky side facing out. The packing tape
transforms as it deforms. It protects while it makes it impossible
to move freely or be close to the other without getting stuck.
The sound of the packing tape is processed through a computer
and mixed with pre-recorded sound, creating an environment for
the sticky figures to inhabit. A video camera records the actions
of the performers. This image is processed, distorted and projected
onto the wall. The performance lasts approximately 20 minutes,
following the experience of being wrapped, getting stuck, struggling
and being cut out of the tape.
