O Ept Anis is shown on a 5" LCD monitor that is installed behind a wall. On the viewing side of the wall is a dollhouse door, which must be opened in order to view the small screen. Behind the door, the performers, whose heads are bound together by rubber bands, spin around as their painfully distorted faces confront the viewer. The cacophonous audio starts with a simple “hello” and continues to grow with the sounds of banging doors, rattling pots and breaking glass. The rattling of the domestic interior along with the physical harshness of being bound to another with rubber bands is a reference to the intensity of what can be found in the microcosm of a personal relationship as well as in the macrocosm of living in a crowded and stressful city. The video acts as a kind of exorcism- a way to relieve the individual, the couple and the interior space of it's demons.
