As Part of a Whole, video portraits, ongoing project

As Part of A Whole is a series of video portraits that are being compiled over time and will eventually be shown together in an installation. Each of the portraits captures a moment of time in the life of the subject and tries to convey something of his or her life force. The videos are generally shot in about a day, intentionally leaving us with a small amount of footage to work with. As the footage is limited, we need to sculpt what we have in the editing process in order to develop an atmospheric narrative that touches on the character of the subject.
The videos are generally about 15 minutes long.
